Thomas Mason x Oscar Jacobson
At the height of the industrial revolution, Sir Thomas Mason founded in Lancashire one of the first factories to manufacture cotton shirt fabric. These fabrics were used by London´s west end tailors serving the aristocracy and the upper class, before being exported throughout the British Empire and all over the world.
What started in 1796 is something that continually weaves new tales of elegance and today the fabrics are still being made in the traditional English way, ensuring innovation while remaining iconic.
The brand has over time stayed closely related to London and the center of male elegance around Saville Row and Jermyn Street.
In 1992 the Bergamo based family Albini incorporated the Thomas Mason brand into the Albini group, the largest European manufacturer of shirting fabrics.
Strictly studied in Italy and produced with the most precious materials and avant-garde technology, the fabrics tell stories of pure excellence, combining tradition, elegance and artisanal care. Thomas mason are continually pushing the boundaries of fabric technology through exploration and research.
