Curdoroy blazers for men | Oscar Jacobson

Corduroy Blazers

The fabric corduroy originally comes from Egypt and the precursor fabric, fustian. The stripes and weaving technique are the same between the fabrics. Despite its origins in Egypt, it is England and the city of Manchester that has produced large quantities of corduroy since the industrial revolution. Therefore, the material is mainly associated with England today.

Before 1960, corduroy was mainly used for work clothes. At the beginning of the 60s, popular culture figures like Steve McQueen and The Beatles showcased clothes in corduroy in other contexts and thus laid the foundation for a new trend. Our corduroy jackets can be found in various colors and styles. The corduroy jacket is a perfect everyday garment for those who like to be casually but stylishly dressed.
