SUMMER FAVOURITES x OSCAR ARRSJÖ
We join entrepreneur, author and style expert Oscar Arrsjö on a sunny day in June where he shows us his favourite spots in Stockholm and shares his style tips for the summer.
Oscar Arrsö is the founder of ASCARO Padel & Social Club located on the top of Nordiska Kompaniet, the luxury department store. He’s been a founder figure in Swedish men’s fashion for over ten years, a style expert at Swedish morning show TV4 Nyhetsmorgon and has taken part in multiple radio shows and magazines. His passion for style has been a driving force behind his successes such as Frontmen.com, the world's first e-com to combine e-com and editorial, and his debut book Klä dig för framgång(Dress for success). Arrsjö is also a longtime friend of Oscar Jacobson and has been featured in numerous campaigns throughout the years.
OSCAR’S THREE FAVOURITE SPOTS
Olle & Kajsa
In our beloved hometown Saltsjö-Duvnäs, there’s a beautiful summer restaurant in artists Olle and Kaja Nyman’s old home and atelier. From this historic place, you can sit down for a drink and have your kids play among sculptures and fruit trees, all while watching the boats pass the Skurusundet.
ASCARO Padel & Social Club
Among the clouds, 30 feet above Regeringsgatan, you’ll find the unique rooftop ASCARO. Padel courts, running track, outdoor gym and yoga section in American country club spirit. You will find a pleasant mix of exercisers taking a cold beer after a game among well-dressed businessmen and Stockholmers ready to party. Practise your favourite sport, play a game at the Oscar Jacobson court or get something to eat and drink, while considering the Porche at the podium or cooling your feet in the pool.
Snö
What would summer be without ice cream? During hot days in the city, the epicures are lucky to find Snö in the middle of Vasastan. This ice cream spot always offers unexpected combinations and innovative flavours. This is as far away from the Big Pack at the grocery store as you can get.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SUMMER STYLE?
During vacation, the black business uniform is replaced by white, beige, light grey and green tones. Seersucker, linen and soft cotton in shorts, wide pants, t-shirts and shirts with Cuban collars. On my feet, I try to wear something as close to barefoot as possible so whenever I need to wear shoes it’s usually espadrilles or flip-flops.
