With our Custom Made service, you design your own unique jacket, trousers, suit, vest, tuxedo or coat. You choose the model, fit, fabric and details that give you a unique garment and a personal style.

3. Choose buttons made of horn, mother-of-pearl or urea.

4. Choose inner lining.

5. Add lapels to the pants, open buttonholes to the blazer and explore other options that personalize your garment.

Wool is cool in summer and warm in winter, depending on thickness and weaving technique. Wool wrinkles the least of all natural materials. Linen breathes well and is particularly good in warm climates. It has a nice texture and a soft fall. Cotton is a slightly more sporty fabric choice. The matte surface gives a relaxed feeling and is also extra wear-resistant.

We offer nearly 400 different fabrics from world-leading producers such as Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Angelico and Drago. Pure wool, linen and cotton, all our fabrics of the absolute highest quality. Many fabrics have been with us for a long time, others are seasonal.

Most importantly, it fits perfectly. If you think it's difficult, our store staff will help you find the fit that suits you, your height and body shape best. If the garment does not fit perfectly, we make measurement adjustments and tailoring changes until it does. At Oscar Jacobson we have three different fits on our blazers, E, F and J. E is the most fitted and J the straightest. There is no right or wrong - it's up to you.

Choose the size that fits best over the shoulders, that is most important. All of our garments have extra seam allowances, which makes it possible to lay them out or take them in. Are you between two sizes? Then choose the larger one, it is easier for the tailor to take in than to put out.

Experiment. A single-breasted is the more common choice, but double-breasted perhaps makes a bigger impression? In the past, double-breasted was perceived as more formal, but that is no longer the case. If you want to break up your suit, a double-breasted blazer also goes great with a t-shirt underneath with jeans or chinos. Just like single button. Both options are classic, timeless and very useful.

The perfect trouser length is a personal matter. If you are looking for a classic length, the fabric should not fold at the back but fall down over the shoe. But many of our customers prefer shorter trousers. You can also change the thigh width, foot width and adjust the waist. And do you want punches or not? The trousers should sit comfortably at the waist but at the same time in place without a belt. And have a margin of a couple of centimeters to be comfortable when you sit down. If you are between two sizes, it is often better to choose the larger one. Then the tailor has greater possibilities for re-stitching.

The inside counts. Choosing a lining that stands out, or not, makes your jacket unique and personal. An elegant and fun way to get personal.

By leaving the bottom button on the sleeve unbuttoned, you show that the garment is tailored to the highest level. It also means that if you want to fold up the sleeve, it needs to be done at the shoulder. A more expensive intervention, but an open buttonhole gives a more exclusive expression.

Our recommendation is to carry nothing, or as little as possible, in your pockets. It causes the garment to lose fit and elegance. However, you can choose between hidden and surface pockets, which is a matter of taste.

We go through the steps above together. At Oscar Jacobson, we have over 120 years of experience in craftsmanship and tailoring, and throughout your Custom Made, our shop staff is by your side. Once the process is complete and the garment is ordered, it takes approximately 4-5 weeks until it is finished and ready for collection. You then come back to the store and we check together that everything fits as it should or if we need to make further adjustments.
