After the summer break, many see autumn as a fresh start. Meetings, travel, and decisions demand a wardrobe that keeps pace. For investor, entrepreneur, and “dragon” Evelina Anttila, that means dressing for a day where style, function, and personal expression must work in harmony.
Evelina is one of Sweden’s most influential figures in technology and investment. As a lawyer, business builder, and now CEO of a venture capital firm, she combines legal expertise with business development and AI knowledge. Named one of Sweden’s most influential tech investors by Dagens Industri, she is active as an angel investor and board member, and is well-known to many as one of the dragons on SVT’s Dragons’ Den.
With a background as an M&A lawyer at Mannheimer Swartling and experience in building an AI company from the ground up, Evelina has a sharp ability to navigate between business strategy, technology, and law. She blends analytical precision with the experience of leading complex negotiations – both in the boardroom and in the startup world.
“Whatever the role, it’s about balancing interests and getting people on board. To create a sustainable deal, everyone needs to feel heard and see their path forward,” she says.
Building companies and leading investments means constant challenges – and the most important lessons often come from setbacks. Having both scaled companies and invested in early-stage tech projects, Evelina has learned that resilience, humility in the face of uncertainty, and the ability to bounce back from mistakes are crucial to building something that lasts – in both business and values.
“I like to work with clear goals, and I thrive on challenges, but what truly motivates me is being part of making a difference in a broader context. Businesses have an important role to play in society – not just in creating value for their owners, but in shaping the future we all share. I believe both capital and leadership need to be more actively and openly engaged in public debate.”
Together, we created three suits and a coat for Evelina through our Custom Made service. Oscar Jacobson’s Custom Made is a tailored solution for clients who want to design personal, perfectly fitted garments rooted in classic craftsmanship. We started with a selection of our archive menswear models, some of which work especially well for women. Evelina chose the fabrics, details such as buttons and linings, and we adjusted the fit to suit her perfectly.
“I wanted to create clothes that work in the modern working world – where you need to move between different settings without losing your personal style. It’s about combining function and form, and it’s been fun to adapt menswear archive pieces into a fit that works perfectly for me,” says Anttila.
The suits she designed are tailored for different business contexts – from the classic dark pinstripe for formal meetings, to a lighter, softer-cut suit for more creative environments. And, of course, a tuxedo for evening occasions. The tailored coat completes the collection with understated elegance and refined construction.
“I see it as an investment in style – and in claiming space on my terms.”
